Intro to the Grizzly
I developed this info module about brown bears in Rise 360. Although I used Rise360 extensively at one stage in my career, I'm not able to share related projects due to an NDA. This project was a chance to make something original for my site.

Storytelling with striking imagery makes the user interested, which is crucial for engaged learning. While this is easy to do with images of nature and wildlife, it's possible in any industry given the right image contrast and interesting compositions!

Making sure there are elements of active learning throughout the module keeps the user engaged and avoids passively 'clicking through'. This is more powerful when the images are well polished and clean to interact with.
Chunking the information avoids cognitive overload. Telling the user 10 different things makes them likely to forget all of them! But giving them 3 bits of information will lead to higher interest and retention. This is why I tend to avoid long lists in eLearning when there are much more effective ways of communicating.
User centred design enables the user to explore at their own pace which is much more conducive to learning. Otherwise it becomes a 'tick-box' exercise where the learner is just trying to get to the end.
